Martin Browne is a co-founding partner and CEO of IAT Leasing, set up in 2023 as a joint venture operating leasing platform by Icelease and Martin’s investment company Inverse Holdings.

Prior to setting up IAT, Martin was Head of Origination and Strategy at Aergo Capital, joining in 2014 during the transition period after the acquisition of the company by funds managed by CarVal Investors. Martin set up Aergo’s third party asset management business in 2020, growing it from a business plan to over 170 aircraft under management, organically and via the acquisition of the Seraph asset management business.

Prior to this, Martin led all deal origination, trading and aircraft remarketing in Europe, Middle East and Africa as Senior Vice President Commercial for the region, closing $1.3bn of transactions between 2016 and 2023. During Martin’s employment, Aergo grew from a fleet of 6 aircraft to a fleet of 272 aircraft worth ~$5.8bn with 60 employees; transforming in the process from an aircraft trading company into an airline centric operating lessor with a global leasing platform.

Prior to starting his professional career, Martin completed his MSc. in Economics at Imperial College London, where he graduated with merit. He also holds a B.A. in Economics and Business from Trinity College, Dublin.
