Mr. Kári Kárason, born in 1965, is the CEO of Icelease. Kári joined Icelandair Group in 1994.  Previous positions held are:

• Manager, Treasury department. Main focus on risk and cash management.
• Director of Procurement for Icelandair Group, with main focus on fuel, contracts and Aircraft leasing.
• Head of all Hotel Operations of Icelandair Group.  Total of 17 properties.

In 2005, Kári co-started Icelease.  He has been the Managing Director of the company since 2006. Kári has also served as a Managing Director for several joint venture aircraft investment projects, co-owned by international banks and lessors.  Kári has served on the boards of several different companies over the past 10 years, including:

• Bluebird Cargo Airlines
• IG Invest
